3. In all honesty car hire although practical if you want to explore further affield, with Salou, Cambils, La Pineda and PortAventura all pretty close to each other it is easy to use the cheap and plentiful public transport.

4. Everything is close by, beaches, theme park, cafes, bar and restaurants.

5. Many people like luxury, but if your looking to go on a budget then Salou has a wealth of budget accommodation.

6. Compared to the UK Salou's food and drink fares quite well on cost, if you want to  eat on a budget you can, food to suit all tastes, good quality bars and restaurants and a good supply of local supermarkets for the self caterers.

7. PortAvntura may sem expensive, but what you get for your money makes it worth it, look for multi-day tickets, look for the discount codes, book your ticket early before you go to help spread the budget.
